From 1926 - 1943 the author travelled around Africa on four occasions and then in 1952-53 he took his wife. They visited 105 towns and travelled over 40,000 miles from top to bottom and side to side. They had conversations with over 1,500 people and together with what they saw form the contents of this book - everything the ordinary reader needs to know about Africa. 960 pages with endpaper map. Book in very good condition with light tanning, minor foxing to leading edge and minor wear to cover. No dust jacket.
