Chicago/Bloomfield, IL: Empire Cream Separator Company, 1909. Instruction Manual, 19.8 x 13.8 cm, 32 pages. An indexed manual for a centrifugal device that separates milk into cream and skimmed milk. Contains instructions for getting the machine out of the box and cleaning for the first run to regulating the thickness of cream, as well as an "explanation of the adjustment of parts". Diagram of the machine appears on page 29. Price list for parts includes milk cans, cleaning brushes, worm wheel and shaft, bearings, and screw drivers. Separate advertisement appears for separator oil. Bound with red thread. Wrapper, which features an engraved image of the machine, has some spots and a tidemark that bleeds through the first eight pages. Beyond staining and some discoloration, in very good condition.
