Colour pictorial card wrappers.Presentation copy from the artist, inscribed on the half-title page: ''For Peter Owen with all best wishes - Francis Bacon''. Owen had a flat next door to Bacon's studio and the two men became friends and drinking partners at the French house in Soho. Bacon once described Owen, with only slight exaggeration, as ''the only publisher in England who produces anything interesting''.Head of spine slightly scuffed. Near fine.
