About This Item

New York, New York: Criterion Books, 1957. First Edition First Printing 1st Printing. Hardcover. Very Good/Good. Written by an insider in the political department of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, "the one man with access to all witnesses & secret documents related to the infamous Dreyfus case,'' this is a perspective on the case that you've never read, revealing certain "psychological aspects" & dimensions of the case heretofore unexplored. In 319 pages, this is a FIRST EDITION, First Printing, from 1957, translated from the original French by Eric Mosbacher. Hardcover octavo has light yellow cloth-covered boards lettered in black script to spine. Condition is VG: generally very clean with dark spotting to top outer edges of both boards & very light foxing to same outer page edges; small smudge to outside bottom edges. Interior pages are creamy white with light tanning, completely unmarked save for former owner's bookplate inside front cover. Binding strong & straight, corners slightly bumped, small areas of paper loss to front boards by outer-lower corner. The unclipped DJ is Good, with noticeable chipping & soiling, rubbing to extremities, but mostly intact & nicely covered in new clear mylar cover to stay that way! Our photos depict the Exact book you will receive, never "stock" images of books we don't actually have! Same day shipping on all orders received Weekdays by 2 pm Pacific time; later orders, weekends & holidays ship very next business day.
