Paris: J. Petit and J. Badius, 1510. First Edition. Hardcover (Full Leather). Very Good Condition. Two volumes bound in one in contemporary leather covered wooden boards. Spine repaired, recased, bibliographical information pasted to added endpapers. Contemporary notes to title page and old ownership name (Roger Picard). Notes in the same hand to a few other margins. Rare edition of an abbreviated version of Badius' grammar intended for children. 2 copies in OCLC. Complete with 24 leaves but bound out of order towards the end (Cc iiii and Cc iiiii bound after final leaf Cc viii. Bound with the Badius/Petit edition of Villedieu's doctrinal versified grammar written around 1200. A few wormtrails, occasionally touching text, but not really affecting sense. Generally quite clean - extensive notes to the 4 leaf orthography section at the rear. Just one copy of this edition in OCLC. The BNF record cites the Bibliographie des éditions parisiennes du 16e siècle suggesting they were sold together.
