" In 1760 (first edition).....It is the first work in English to present botanists with Linnaeus's sexual system of classification and with his terminology, based on his own writings, and it did much to promote the knowledge, and extend the progress and popularity, of the system in this country." It also gave Lee and his "Vineyard" nursery acclaim and notoriety. Clean copy, book label, front cover hinge reinforced.
