Illustrated with nine fold-out plates, two of which have tissue guards. Dark green cloth-covered boards with embossed frame and elaborate floral decoration in blind to front and back. Gilt title and blind-stamped band lines to spine. Rubbing to extremities; scuffing to boards. Corners bumped. Previous owner's signatures to front pastedown, dated 1942. Front hinge weak, but holding. Previous owner's signatures to front pastedown, dated 1871. Edgewear and small tears to right margin of plates 6 and 7. The leaves and plates are bright and in very good condition.
