A treatment of probability theory developed in terms of mathematical concepts. Dark blue cloth, red printed labels front and spine, gilt publishers logo front and lettering front and spine. One of the Wiley Publications in Statistics, inside of front cover alone lists additional series volumes (later printings extend this to the FFEP). First published 1950, this is the first publication of the second edition from 1957 with no mention of additional printings.; 6 " x 9"; xv, 461 pp; Boards lightly worn/soiled, bumped/starting to fray at corners, solid hinges, prior owner name inked to FFEP and dedication page, perhaps 20 pages with underlining and annotations in light pencil-mostly toward the front of the text. .

U.S. BUYERS. Standard -- Most orders can be shipped by USPS Media Mail within the continental U.S. for the standard charge regardless of weight. Expedited -- Items which fit in the Flat Rate Envelope (about 6" x 9") can usually be sent by Priority Mail for $10.00; in that case we will automatically reduce the shipping charge for an expedited order when the order is processed. Items which fit in one of the Medium Flat Rate Boxes can ship for the standard expedited charge, regardless of weight.
