Crowley's masterpiece, the work into which he poured his knowledge of the Astral and other planes. It is in three parts, the first two of which cover the principles of Yoga, and of Ceremonial Magic as taught in the Golden Dawn where he served his apprenticeship from 1898 to 1900. The third and major part, which was written mainly in his Abbey of Thelma in Sicily between 1920 and 1923, contains his own system of practical occultism. Crowley's Magick is a doctrine and a technique for establishing contact with extra-terrestrial entities - spirits, demons, elementals - for the purpose of extending human consciousness and expanding life to cosmic proportions. Classic book by British inventor, mentalist and author Al Koran, the stage name of Edward Doe. He focuses on how to harness the power of the subconscious mind. Koran writes with clarity and authenticity. Use his techniques to achieve prosperity, success, health and vitality!First edition first printing, thus rare. In remarkable condition, thus even more scarce. Appears to have been very well looked after from the outset. Pages are bright, clean, unmarked and unfoxed, with no inscriptions. Just a light tan strip at FEP and rear equivalent (see photos). DJ is unclipped with minimal wear (some minor rubbing and shelf contact). Boards are tight and clean. A very nice first edition of Carrington's book, with DJ and rare thus. Hereward Carrington was one of the UK's most well known researchers into psychic and related phenomena. Here, he recounts some of his strangest experiences during his long career, and includes encounters with Aleister Crowley, among others. Book is VG+/VG. Pages are excellent: bright, crisp, clean with no apparent markings or inscriptions and no staining or creasing. Just a slight tanning on FEPs and age related dusting and slight spotting on top edges, but really lovely. Boards are clean and tight. There is a slight 'give' or 'lean' to the spine but not affecting the overall integrity of the book. DJ is unclipped and intact: a previous owner has covered it in a form plastic tape-wrapper. This is not a removable covering, however neither is it attached to the book, only to the wrapper itself for protection.
