About This Item

Looking for an easy-to-read overview of the Old Testament? In the preface of this 420 page hardbound conservative/evangelical volume, Dr. Unger states: "…in the present volume the writer has aimed at simplicity and conciseness of treatment. No attempt has been made to be exhaustive or to appeal to the merely technical scholar. Discussion has been limited to what the author considers essentials. The volume does not profess to be an Old Testament Introduction in the strict sense of the term, but merely a guidebook to conduct the Christian student through the labyrinth and past the pitfalls of modern destructive criticism." This is an amazingly well-written OT intro, providing a short introduction to each of the books of the OT; archaeology is included. This 1st edition was copy written in 1951 and this volume was printed in 1966; the 5th printing.

Good. A loved well-used book with obvious wear yet the integrity is still intact.

There are notes, circles, writing in the margins, ruler underlining of the text; no missing pages or anything that would compromise the legibility or understanding of the text.NO highlighting! NOT ex-Library. There is a name & an ExLibris on FEP. The spine is undamaged and the binding is tight; no creases. The cover has Very Good textured blue boards with gold gilt titles, and no tears, creases or markings. The DJ preserved the cover. Each book visually inspected. The pictures depict the actual book you will receive. Countries other than USA will require additional shipping cost. Ships with Tracking Number!
