Illustrated throughout with black & white photograph reproductions and maps. Grey cloth, silver titles stamped on the spine. Endpaper maps. In the illustrated coated dust jacket. Jacket light scuffs, top edge ruffled and a 1-inch closed tear. Lower edge of boards rubbed. German-born Steltzer moved to Vancouver, Canada in 1972. This is her account of travels across the Canadian Arctic in 1980-81. "I like to ask people how they see things so that I photograph what is important to them and not only things that strike me.
