CT] Circa 1900. Red cloth, paper spine labels, top edges gilt. Very good, some light soiling and wear, one spine label with small stains. Numerous plates. #289 of 1000, both hand numbered and punched. Title pages printed in red and black, frontis' with tissue protectors. Considered to be the best edition of his works. Leatherstocking tales. Frontis' are tissue protected. Firm, clean and tight. 6.25 x 9.25 x 1.625, about 95 pounds of books occupying about 55" of shelf space. A handsome edition. Over 15,000 pages. .
