About This Item

Orlando, Florida, U.S.A.: Harcourt, 1995. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Fine/Very Good+. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. A romance of navigation and science" in which a seventeenth-century Italian man finds himself marooned on a deserted ship. Stated first U.S. edition. First printing with letter line sequence running "A" thru "E." This is a beautiful copy that appears to be unread. The book itself is in "as new" condition with no writing, marks, underlining, or bookplates. No remainder marks. Not an ex-library copy. Spine is tight and crisp. Corners are square, and the blue boards are clean, flat and true with not even a hint of wear. Dust jacket is not price-clipped ($25.00) and would be graded much higher were it not for a 1/4" tear and associated crease along the upper spine and another 1" crease along the lower left corner of the back cover. Otherwise the jacket shows minimal wear. This collectible, fine/very good+, first edition/first printing copy is protected with an archival mylar dust jacket cover. Satisfaction guaranteed!
