Queen's Gate, Mews, Kensington : The Cayme Press , 1924. Rare little publication and material concerning The Zetetic Club. 1924 at title page. Limited edition with "750 copies of this edition printed, of which 700 are for sale." Marbled bubbly boards in earth hues of green, beige and black, cream title label to at cover, moderate shelf, corner wear, missing material to upper spine. Title label states: "The Island Set Apart, Hillel Samson, A. 1924 D." Thick rough cut deckled leaves, near fine. Bind good; hinges intact. Small antiquarian bookstore stamp inside cover: "P. W. Hutton & Co. Booksellers & Stationers, Timaru." Timaru is a port city built upon rolling hills in the southern Canterbury region of New Zealand. Other titles by the same author Hillel Samson: "The Story of Francis Horatio" and "Sir Humphrey Gilbert." Frontispiece illustation of island titled "Insula Abdita" and below: "-Jovis magni medio, jacet insula ponto." Title page features vignette of large sailing vessel on rolling sea. Several other wood-cut illustrations throughout. Colophon page at back features circular vignette of pracing deer: "Printed by Philip Sainsbury at The Cayme Press, Queen's Gate Mews, Kensington, MCMXXIV." From prefatory page: "The Truthseekers: Their Seekings. Being the Transactions of the Zetetic Club. What is Truth? The Whole. What the Truthseeker? A fragmentary finder.
