He reflects on his life, including his career and mainstay of the New York Board of Coroners and the Board of Medical Examiners; his involvement in politics and the formation of the Latin-American League to protect foreign-born voters; his associations with many noted dignitaries, politicians, and social elites; notorious crimes and criminals which prompted LeBrun to initiate the Sullivan Law requiring the registration of firearms in New York City; his dedication to the prevention of suicides; his ten-year battle for the licensing of automobile drivers, etc. 255 pgs. Literary agent's nameplate pastedown on front endpaper. Dustjacket has several small closed tears taped on the inside, and tiny chunks missing along the lower edge. Light age-browning to spine. Picture of George P. LeBrun on the rear dustjacket cover at age 100. Minimal shelfwear.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Fine/Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
