1640 ROME History of Justin Pompeius Trogus Macedonia Augustus Elzevier Vossius
Justin was a 2nd-century Roman historian, whose work was largely taken from that of Pompeius Trogus. Justin covered the history of Macedonia, focusing on the time of Augustus Caesar in Rome and the rise of the Macedonian Empire. This 1626 edition of Justin's 'History' was published in Amsterdam and features a fine, engraved title page.
This fine 1640 edition was published in Leiden by Elzevier and includes the commentary of Isaac Vossius.
