About This Item
Chicago: The Reilly & Lee Co.. Very Good- in Fair dust jacket. 1928. Fifth Printing. Hardcover. 302 p. 23 cm. Copyright date only. This is a memorial edition so printed after Miner's death in 1944. Sound and square binding in cloth-covered boards. Light wear to the corners and spine ends. Text block edges are lightly toned. Previous owner had taped several newsclippings to the rear endpapers, which have become detached and left tape shadow marks. Clippings have been left laid in. Otherwise, the inside pages are clean and unmarked. Dust jacket has heavy edge wear; including small and large chips, short and long tears, and creases. One long tear has been cello tape reinforced on reverse side. A few tiny holes in the spine. Light soil overall. Jack Miner's story of his bird sanctuary and knowledge of and relationship with birds. Illustrated with black and white photographs. .
