[xii] 352pp, iv, 292, [vii] 312pp. Frontispiece portrait of the author and 8 etchings by George Cruikshank in volume 1, 9 etchings in vol 2 and 10 etchings in vol 3. Half-title in volume 3. Front gutters of volume 1 and 3 are cracked. A bit of foxing to prelims. Corners are bit worn. Sadleir XIX Century Fiction #14.
