Very Good. 8vo., 47 pp., with Caldecott's black & white illustrations.Bound in publishers blue cloth spine with illustrated paper boards. Overall light toning, soiling and rubbing to the boards. Front hinge starting. Half title page darkened, but otherwise clean and unmarked. Early W.B. Clarke & Carruth Boston small sticker inside front cover. Randolph Caldecott (22 March 1846 - 12 February 1886) was a British artist and illustrator, born in Chester. The Caldecott Medal was named in his honor. He exercised his art chiefly in book illustrations. Caldecott greatly influenced illustration of children's books during the nineteenth century.
