Perfect-bound in textured and laminated pictorial boards, 104, [1] pp, 6 plates, many illustrations in text. The perfect (i.e. glued) binding is brittle, otherwise fine. DJ shows a little rubbing at extremities; in Brodart archival cover. This French-language book on the launch of the France was issued about six months before the planned maiden voyage of that ship, billed as "the world's longest passenger liner."
