About This Item
Toronto: Ryerson, 1966. Dj shows rubbing and a few splits (no missing material) at upper edge. Boards show very light shelfwear and light fading along edges. Library markings include spine label, card pouch, and two instances of ink stamp "Dunbar Heights United Church". An article by Carla Courtenay, from "The Observer", about James Evans, has been glued to the rear pastedown and has left a shadow on the rear free endpaper opposite it. Interior is otherwise unmarked. Evans was apparently a missionary with Canadian natives whose advocacy on their behalf incurred the wrath of the Hudson's Bay Company who resorted to any means, including slander, to try to discredit him and minimize his influence..219 pp.. First. Cloth. Very Good/Good+. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Ex-Library.
