Biography of James III (1688-1766) sometimes called “The Old Pretender,” son of the English King James II and father of “Bonnie Prince Charlie” (Charles II). A good copy, covers scuffed & slightly soiled, spine faded & soiled, corners a bit frayed, index & rear endpapers dampstained in margin, inscription & bookplate on front paste-down, issued without dust jacket, gilt top edge and decoration on boards and spine.
