SIGNED by the author at half-title, being warmly inscribed "To Dave Montgomery with best wishes for your birthday." Handsomely bound in two-tone, brown cloth over boards, gilt-stamped title to front board, light tan cloth-backed. From the personal library of Mr. Robert Allen as conveyed to me by his widow, Ms Priscilla (Brownie) Allen, he having been a noted bookseller and appraiser and also editor of a number of volumes of the The Eighteenth Century: a current bibliography series in a project headed at the University of Southern California. Plentiful penciled notations left in, mostly unobtrusive, but telling of the technical skills of the previous owner. Plentiful black-and-white reproductions of covers and title pages of Michener's best-known works. xvii [6], 7-313 pp.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards. Additional postage may be required for oversize or especially heavy volumes, and for sets.
