New York: Farrar & Rinehart, (1939). First Edition. First printing Near fine in medium blue cloth covered boards with a gilt on black title block on the spine and illustrated end sheets with a prior owner's name and date of "1940" on the fly title page. In a very good+ unclipped dust jacket with the spine area very slightly faded, a square 1/4" chip from the upper rear corner of the spine area, with a small 1/8" closed tear at the upper edge of the front panel and rubbing to the fold to the front flap. With illustrations by Edward Shenton. The fifth volume in The Rivers of America Series. 359 pages including an index and bibliography both of which are followed by an eleven page introduction to the series by Constance Skinner. A very tight and clean copy.
