About This Item
Original Artwork, 2005. Limited Numbered Edition. Fine painting/Fine frame. A beautiful colorful painting by noted Detroit artist Marcus Glenn. The painting is giclee on canvas with bas-relief with hand embellishment. It is signed by Marcus Glenn in the bottom right corner and numbered 299/395 Limited Editions on the verso. The painting measures 18" x 22 1/2" high, protected by a fine 3" wide wood frame that measures 25 1/2" x 30 1/2" high, installed wire wall hangers. Professionally framed and matted using 100% rag board matting, acid-free hinging and 100% acid-free mat board.
Marcus Glenn has commissioned works of art hanging in exclusive private and public collections throughout the world. Glenn s works are heavily jazz-infused. His figures are animated and mannerist in approach, often stretching and twisting into impossible positions. Glenn says that he elongates his figures, breathing life into their instruments as they become one through the element of jazz. His artwork One Nite Outta This World was selected as the official art for the 56th Annual Grammy Awards held in Los Angeles in January 2014 and he was also the official artist of the 2014 Amelia Island Jazz Festival. This particular painting features movement and joy that makes a great addition to any display wall.
