[4], 5-472, [8] pp. Brown cloth with a red border and a red device on the front board, two red rules, gilt lettering, and a red publisher's device on the spine. Floral endpapers and pastedowns. Illustrated with a frontispiece. A pleasing later printing of the literary classic. Light wear to the cloth's edges, an 1888 name on the first blank leaf, leaves toned.
Synopsis
Jane Eyre is a famous and influential novel by English writer Charlotte Brontë. It was published in London, England in 1847 by Smith, Elder & Co. with the title Jane Eyre. An Autobiography under the pen name "Currer Bell". (Harper & Brothers of New York came out with the American edition in 1848.)
