A magnificent 2 volume set bound in striking publishers cloth bindings. Variant binding in greenish-blue cloth decorated with gilt swans, etc. on covers, and chrysanthemum motif and gilt decoration on back-strips. T.e.g. Original silk ribbon markers extant both volumes. Illustrated with 51 photogravure plates with tissue guards imprinted with letterpress. Large fold-out color map bound in rear of Vol. II. Housed in original greenish-blue cloth dust-jackets, which are themselves in fine condition. Overall the nicest copy of this set that we have handled. Fine copies in like dust-jackets..
