Mukomachi, Japan: Bijutsu Shuppansha, 1953. first edition. Paperback. Very Good +/good +. First edition, #202 of 300 copies. 104 pages, with 40 woodblock prints (most in color) and 47 tipped-in specimens of hand-made paper, including Kozo, Mitsumata, Inden (with Japanese laquer design -- Urushi), Somegami, Montengujo, and Gasenshi. Book is in traditional Japanese paperwraps, string binding. Housed in publisher's original textured paper-covered portfolio case with string ties, red paper label. The book is strong VG or VG+ condition, occassional spotting. The folidng case is G+ only, considerably spotting to the botom of the front board (not a spill, just natural spotting) and a seam split (about an inch) on one hinge, edge-chips to the label (lettering bright and clear). Still a wonderful book, no. 286 of 300 copies.
