A true First Edition, First Printing of Anthony Swofford's first book, a critically-acclaimed hard-hitting and candid memoir of his frontline experience as a U.S. Marine during the Gulf War that is already into at least nine printings. Signed and dated by the author on February 27, 2003 at the first public signing for the book at Lewis & Clark College where he was an adjunct professor of Humanities, four days prior to the official release date March 3, 2003. In black and grey cloth & boards, the book is in fine unread condition. In a fine colorful dustjacket that is complete with the price and "0303" on the back panel, in protective plastic cover. 260 pp. Winner of the PNBA 2004 Book Award and made into a major motion picture. This book includes the flyer from the signing, and misc. copies of book reviews issued at the time of publication including The New York Times and Publisher's Weekly. Also includes a Certificate of Authenticity from Parrish Books. We have sold many due to our acquantance with Tony Swofford and our connection to Lewis & Clark College but this is our last copy.

Synopsis
