About This Item
London: Musicians Press Ltd, 1946. Written by a French speaking Belgian in his native tongue this book was first translated and published in America. The French text was then revised by the author and brought up to date and it is from that latter version that this first English edition was published. Robert Goffin claims the distinction of having been the first serious writer to write constructively about Jazz. This is a book for everybody, the initiated, the enthusiast even the confirmed anagonist. Some rubbing and bumped corners and produced to War Economy Standard but all in all a very good copy of this fascinating work. 273pp including Bibliography.. Not Signed or Inscribed. First British Edition. Blue Cloth. Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾". Hardback.
