Paris: L'Imprimerie Chaix, 1899. First edition. Print. Fine. Joan of Arc holding a banner in a hail of arrows. Grasset worked as a book illustrator and poster designer in Paris towards the end of the 19th century. His work brought him into contact with the Montmartre circle of artists including Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec. Image size varies on paper 11 1/4 x 15 1/2" with the blind stamp in the lower right corner. Folio color lithograph. Faint mat burn at the very outer edge of the paper.
