Book Condition: Very Good +; light shelfwear to head, tail, and tips; glue browning to endpapers and spine gutters. Blue cloth boards and spine with bright gilt lettering on the spine and front board. Clean internals; internal hinges are sound and not split. 297 pp 8vo. This book reflects the calm, dispassionate reasoning of a Member of Congress who participated in the great struggles over legislation on oil, railroads, regulation of securities exchanges and concerning utilities. It gives an inside glimpse of government and of our free enterprise system of governing. Its pages are replete with passages that expose the folly of "planned economy" and of "production for use" theories. One chapter, nationally quoted is "The Purge Comes to America", which has altered the thinking of millions. A clean very presentable copy in a Brodart mylar jacket.
