Illustrated dustwrapper with black and white coloured titles to the front panel and back strip. Erskine Caldwell at his best, a tough, warmhearted and moral tale (although thousands will deem it just the contrary). Violence lurks round corners, but for the most part this is a fresh, hilarious novel. -- Front fold over blurb. Rubbing of the book edges with a cock of the spine. Light tanning and foxing to the text block edges; foxing worst to the top text edge. Age toning of the pages. Offset tanning and foxing of the end pages. Base bar Rubbing of the dustwrapper edges and panels stop handling marks and stains to the rear panel with foxing to the fold over panel's and to the verso. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
