Paris: Theodore Legras, 1739. Hardcover. Good. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. 86 pp. + 4. Text in French. Bound in 3/4 brown morocco, gilt lettering on spine, marbled boards. Binding VERY GOOD. Title page soiled & torn, rebacked, pages untrimmed, foxing, mainly in margins, holes at inner margins from earlier sewing. ON THE GAME OF QUADRILLE ADAPTED FROM THE GAME OMBRE (HOMBRE) in France in the 18th century. cf: David Parlet/ History of Card Games.
