Fascinating compilation of Jewish essays which appeared in various periodicals in the latter part of the 19th century. They range over nearly all the problems which the peculiar position of Modern Judaism has brought into prominence. Ex-library copy with library stamp at lower block edge, library bookplate at rear of front board and library pocket at free front endpaper. Blind stamp on title-page. Some edgewear on binding with head and tail of spine chipped and corners rubbed. Hinges starting. Moderate age-toning along paper margin. Binding in overall fair to good-, interior in very good condition.
