Some scuffing to covers; darkened on spine, gilt lettering effaced, titles just legible; cover picture is clear but has foxing marks; rubbed at spine ends; owner name on front end paper; foxing on prelims and some interior pages; tightly bound. 8vo, 226 pp; 8 color illustrations by Mead Schaeffer.

A Masefield adventure story par excellence. Jim Davis is memorable but for me Marah Gorsuch is the electrifying leader who lives on in my memory even seventy years after I firs read it. A corker tale.
