Rene Kister, Geneva, 1957. First Edition. Softcover (Stiff Boards). Poor/Poor. Illustrator: Roger Hauert -- Photographer. 185 g., 34 pages, last 2 blank, some of Joan Miro's important works. Black-and-white photography illustrate the book taken by Roger Hauert and also 4 pages of black-and-white reproductions of Joan Miro's art work. Plain grey coloured card covers which have been enveloped by a photographic overlay. Black and red writing on the front panel and black on the spine. Rubbing and chipping to the head and to the heel of the spine and to the book/dustwrapper corners. The dustwrapper is rubbed, faded and quite dirty. There is a 1 " split to the top spine edge and splitting of the front fold over edges as well. Offset tanning to the end papers and original bookseller's sticker to be front fold over of the dustwrapper. A small book on the Spanish artist Joan Miro. Part of the " Great Painters " series of books. First English Translation. Size: 4to 9¾" - 12" tall. Please refer to accompanying picture (s). Illustrator: Roger Hauert -- Photographer.
