Publisher's blue paper wrappers, lettered in red; unpaginated [pp. 22]; text printed in red and black; a few minor marks to upper panel of wrapper, else fine. Along with Original folio leaves, printed by Auerbach in Basel, 1487-1488; first leaf with illuminated capital U at beginning in gilt, red, green, and blue; with decorative floral design to lower margin; together with the publisher's note on the leaf, slipped into matching blue paper wrappers; slight chipping to margins of folio leaves, else near fine. With the brochure set both designed and printed by Carroll Coleman of the Prairie Press. Specially woven paper, with the wrappers being Italian-made Fabriano. This set produced by the Prairie Press highlights the importance of Johann Auerbach, who was a printer in Basel during the late 15th and early 16th centuries, and works to show his impact on the development of printing and of the book trade. Auerbach's printing house, established in 1478, became one of the most renowned in Europe. In producing high-quality editions of classical works, his press contributed to the dissemination of literature during the Renaissance.
