Washington DC: Smithsonian Institution, 1978. Total of 9 sleeved LP records in 3 color-illus boxes plus overall slipcase.. VeryGood w light wear to the individual boxes, all contents excellent.. This rare collection consists of three boxed sets of LP records in a large cardboard slipcase, each with descriptive booklet. Set 1 (Sonatas - 3 LPs) was recorded on instruments from the collection of the Division of Musical Instruments and features Sonya Monosoff (violin), James Weaver (harpsichord), and Judith Davidoff (viola). Set 2 (Concerti - 3 LPs) was recorded on original instruments for the first time in America by Aston Magna and features Albert Fuller (director), Japp Schroder and Stanley Ritchie (violin), Fortunato Arico and John Hsu (cello and viola), Friedemann Immer (trumpet), Bernard Krainis (recorder), Michel Piguet (oboe), and John Solum (flute). Set 3 (Partitas - 3 LPs) was recorded on a harpsichord made by Johannes Daniel Dulcken in Antwerp 1745 and features James Weaver; this set also includes a facsimile book reproducing Bach*s 1731 musical score of Clavier Ubung 1. The entire collection is in very good condition and complete as published.

Boxes & slipcase are 12-1/2 x 12-1/2, with enclosed descriptive booklet & facsimile score.
