Box/Slipcase; Very Good; sunned on top area and around opening, (1) small chip at single corner next to opening. 1138 pp., bibliography notes, notes, and index, very clean text, no marks. Dimensions: 9 3/4" x 6 3/4" x 3 3/4". This is the first biography of John Adams to be written since the great treasury of his papers and letters became available to scholars. Adams was one of the saltiest and most perceptive diarists and letter writers in our history, and these volumes illuminate the character of a man who was, even in his lifetime, a symbol of new England and America.
