"(B)etween 1970 and 1986, John Corey organized and funded the production of a group of quilts that were instrumental in influencing New Brunswick's participation in the quilting revival. Those quilts were used as examples in lectures he presented as well as quilt shows throughout southern New Brunswick. In effect, these particular quilts demonstrated not only strong ties to the past but also inspired the survival and flourishing of a strong textile tradition. This publication highlights John Corey's project and these quilts."
