Oxford University press, New York, 1971. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good Condition/Good. Foreword by author. Dark orange coloured end pages. At the beginning of each chapter there is a grey coloured illustration. Light orange coloured cloth covered boards with gilt coloured titles and decoration to the back strip. Pale yellow coloured titles to the top text edge. Plaintext dustwrapper with black, brown and blue coloured titles to the front and and blue and brown coloured titles to the back strip. Six pieces that the author has chosen over his decade of writing for The New Yorker. Softening of the back strip edges and rubbing of the book corners. Very light age toning of the text block edges and pages. Rubbing of the dustwrapper edges and panels with a scuff mark to the top right hand corner of the front panel. Sunning of the white coloured background with quite noticeable sunning to the back strip. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. [6], VII - VIII, [2], 3 - 241, [3] pages,.
