Inscribed by John Landis on the title page to Don Rickles and his wife Barbara: "For Don and Barbara / with love / and admiration / (signed) John." Also laid in is a John Landis notecard with this inscription: "Photos of / Don / on / pages 3, 153 / and 193." Provenance: The Estate of Don and Barbara Rickles. 325 pages with index perfect bound in illustrated wrappers as issued. With interviews and contributions from; Jim Abrahams, Forrest J Ackerman, Jack Arnold, Dan Aykroyd, Rick Baker, Elmer Bernstein, Gurinder Chadha, Wes Craven, David Cronenberg, Jamie Lee Curtis, Joe Dante, Guillermo del Toro, Alberto Farina, George Folsey, Christopher Frayling, Costa-Gavras, Amy Heckerling, Dave Kehr, B.B. King, Bill Krohn, John Landis, Jonathan Lynn, Aaron McGruder, Chris Miller, Deborah Nadoolman, Frank Oz, Sam Raimi, Harold Ramis, Robert K Weiss, David and Jerry Zucker. Illustrated. Landis, an American comedy filmmaker that is best known for the films he has directed. Which include: Kentucky Fried Movie (1977), National Lampoon's Animal House (1978), The Blues Brothers (1980), An American Werewolf in London (1981), Trading Places (1983), Three Amigos (1986), Coming to America (1988), and Beverly Hills Cop III (1994) and for directing Michael Jackson's 'Thriller" (1983) and Black or White (1991). On a sad note Landis, and four other crew members, were charged with involuntary manslaughter, for an incident that happened on July 23, 1982, during the filming of 'The Twilight Zone', actor Vic Morrow and two child actors were killed in an accident involving an out-of-control helicopter.
