About This Item
John Murray, 1932. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good /Good. Dark Blue cloth, cream colored paper spine label with gilt border and lettering (this detail is mentioned because the book presents better without the jacket). The volume is lightly edge rubbed with tiny slits on the spine tail. The price clipped dust jacket is devoid of any original spine coloring and lettering and has been replaced with a montage of browns and yellows streaked with splashes. The jacket is chipped at the corners and spine ends, is edge rubbed, soiled on the rear panel, but continues to be useful in keeping the boards clean. The jacket is sleeved in mylar.

About Trilby & Co. Books
Trilby & Co. Books is located in Northern California. The company was founded years ago by a Shetland Sheepdog named Trilby. Trilby's message to her family was brief and direct - the sale of books would increase disposable income and improve the quality of provisions in her food dish. My name is McTavish (picture above). I am the current CEO of this company, and I approve of her message. Oh, by the way, my speciality is literature, with an emphasis on first editions and signed books.
