These discussions are complemented by pieces focusing on the party during World War I and the legacy of Redmond and his party. Taken together, they explore the Home Rule movement in a broader context including examination of the continuities and discontinuities between the IPP and the parties that succeeded it, along with new analysis of gender and politics in independent Ireland through an exploration of the suffrage movement and the career of Bridget Redmond.
