Dark blue cloth with gilt-stamped spine title; blind-stamped publisher's emblem on front cover. Top page edges gilt. No dust jacket. Gift inscription on front free endpaper dated Christmas 1926. The first volume, concluding in 1900, of Gibbons' two-volume biography of American merchant John Wanamaker (1838-1922). In Very Good+ Condition: corners lightly rubbed; small discolored spot on back cover; clean and tight.
