Octavo, 242pp. Hardcover, black boards, title in gilt on spine, author's signature stamped on front board in gilt. Stated "first printing" on copyright page. Solid text block, a touch of toning to endpapers, a fine example. Publisher's "information please" customer review card laid-in. In publisher's dust jacket, $2.50 retail price on front flap, slight shelf wear apparent on corners, vibrant illustrations on front panel, a fine example. In 1954, Johnny Guitar was adapted into a film starring Joan Crawford, Sterling Hayden, and Mercedes McCambridge. It was preserved by the National Film Registry in 2008.
