London: Kegan Paul, Trench, Trubner Front cover with two crossed fox tails. Spine lettered in gilt. A total of 31 full-page plates, including color frontispiece and color illustrated title-page. A plates are protected by captioned tissue-guards. Many of the plates are in color. Artists are H Alken, Phiz, and W. Heath. Although not dated, the book was printed circa 1900. This is a reprint of the second edition of 1843, the first edition was published in 1838. Plates and text are crisp and clean. 272pp.. Later Edition. Green Cloth. Light Edgewear./No Dust Jacket. Super Royal Octavo.
