Attractive first edition copy of this selection of entries from the French writer's journals; a title reissued in 2008 by Tin House Books. Edited and translated by Louise Bogan and Elizabeth Roget. First edition. Octavo, 9.5 x 6.5 in. 254pp., with index. Black cloth boards, stamped in gold and gray on spine, with small gold decorative motif on front board; in dust jacket. Cloth lightly bumped at spine ends, else a fine copy, particularly sharp and clean. In a very good (+) jacket, unclipped ("$6.00"), with a 2" abrasion along rear panel hinge, a few short closed tears, and mild wear along hinges and at spine ends.

We take safe shipping very seriously; all of our books are packaged in new cardboard boxes amply cushioned with biodegradable packing peanuts. Pamphlets and other flat materials items are ocassionally shipped in bubble-mailers with internal cardboard supports.
