On the verso of the front free endpaper is the ownership signature, dated Nov 23 1889, of the natural history writer M.G. Watkins.Front inner hinge starting to crack but tight. Endpapers lightly spotted. Light foxing to title-page. Head and tail of spine and corners slightly scuffed. Very good indeed.
